Skype Tweets When It Goes Down
Twitter is blowing up from users not being able to communicate over Skype.
With Skype down, millions of internal, domestic and international conversations are grounding to a halt. Wither you use Skype for phone calls or chats across the office or across the globe, people are realizing that this outage is affecting they way we connect with one another.

From the Skype Twitter account about a half-hour ago: “Our engineers and site operations team are working non-stop to get things back to normal – thanks for your continued patience.”
Isn’t interesting how Skype is down and that they are leveraging Twitter to get their message out to the masses?
We saw this exact same thing happen a few months ago when Facebook was down for a short time and millions flooded Twitter with people looking for updates from the Social Media community.
We wonder if Twitter is now the preferred method of mass communication when major social media and communication services like Skype go down.
UPDATE!!!! THIS JUST IN!! On Skype’s Twitter page, Skype just posted the following message about the Skype service outage:
Some insight into Skype downtime today: Click here – thanks for your continued patience while we return things to normal
We will keep you updated on this outage as things transpire. All we can say is GOOD LUCK SKYPE, WE NEED YOU NOW, PLEASE DON’T GO DOWN AGAIN!!
