new Facebook privacy tool

Now you can hide Facebook info

The new Facebook privacy tool, the ‘Hide all’ function, is designed to allow the user to hide or block certain types of stories or activities, be it wall posts, friend requests, Questions, comments, changes to your profile, etc…  In the past, you used to have to delete anything that you didn’t want others to see.  Now, you can simply utilize the new Facebook privacy tool and click on the ‘hide all’ function.

New Facebook Privacy Tool | How does it work?

You can ‘hide all’ the same way that you would delete a post.  According to a story in the Huffington Post, this is how the new Facebook privacy tool works:

When you click a story’s delete button, a drop-down menu appears and asks if you would like to remove only that story or hide all similar stories from your Recent Activities.  If you click “Hide All,” a confirmation box appears with a link to your story management dashboard, where you can view the types of stories you’ve hidden already and can relax your own restrictions, if you wish.  If, for example, you comment on lots of photos, you can now block from your wall all stories about your photo comments. You’ll still be able to post viewable comments on friends’ photos, and your existing comments won’t disappear.  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/05/facebook-new-privacy-feature-hide-wall-posts_n_858328.html
