Is Facebook down?

It appears that Facebook is having some issues today and a lot of people are talking about it on Twitter.

It’s true, when Facebook experiences problems, people swarm to Twitter to get up to date answers on Facebook’s status.

The ironic thing is there is a viral joke going around that goes something like this, “if facebook ever shut down youd see people roaming the streets shoving pictures in peoples faces screaming “Do you like this?! DO YOU?!”  Let’s be honest, this is really funny!

Is Facebook Down?| What Will We Do?

Today, we were creating a large Facebook Pay-Per-Click ad campaign and all of the sudden things went haywire.  Facebook would not respond and Facebook appears to be having some serious problems all over the world.  It may be safe to say that anytime Facebook goes down its a “serious problem” and  I am pretty sure that employee productivity goes up.

That is what promoted us to write this article.  Since Facebook is down what we will do with our day?

Just think about it, there are over 150,000,000+ people in the US on Facebook!

Is Facebook Down| How do I find out what is going on?

Everyone asks us this question when Facebook seems to be down.  Here is what we do when we notice problems with Facebook.

1. Go to http://search.twitter.com/ and search “Is Facebook Down” or “Facebook Down”
2. Scroll down the conversations and see what people are saying real time about Facebook being down
3. You can also search by #Facebook and #FacebookDown, there is a lot of chatter out there
4. This is a great was to see what is going on NOW and real time when Facebook is down
5. Also go to Facebook’s Twitter page http://twitter.com/#!/facebook the strange thing is that they are not talking about any outages today but people on Twitter are a buzz about Facebook being down

Is Facebook Down| When do we get our life back?

Someone just called me as I was writing this and asked me if Facebook is down!!!! Some one actually called instead of Tweeting or Texting us! Really, what is the world coming to?  Do you think people may start talking on the phone again to each other if Facebook went down for more then 24-hours?  Do you think there would be riots in the street?

It appears, things are working a little bit better as I have been writing this.  We will keep you updated and check in on the “Is Facebook Down” status.
