What a hectic month for Twitter March was. In like a ‘Tiger’blood and out like a lamb, the Top Twitter Trends in March varied from the energized quotes of Charlie Sheen to the disaster in Japan to the Madness of College Basketball.
While Sheen garnered the brunt of criticism all month long for some of his ‘interesting’ quotes, Sheen’s statements were viewed upon by many as more tolerable than the lyrics of Rebecca Blacks ‘Friday’ that took YouTube by storm, generating over 70 million views. Black, a 13 year old Internet sensation is either loved or hated by many online, and was one of the top Twitter trends in March. Lady Gaga also, surprisingly, drew attention to herself (such a shy lass, who’d have guessed) with a birthday gala and other tiring antics by the narcissistic diva.
But what were the top Twitter trends in March?
