With over 600 million Facebook users worldwide, small business are making their presence known on the social media giant by establishing Facebook Fan Pages for their product or services. To assist it’s Fan Page customers with analytics, Facebook has created some built-in Insights tools to allow you to keep tabs on your Page’s performance. However, one thing that Facebook doesn’t do is tell you how your competition is doing. ContentAide is a new service that allows you to monitor multiple Facebook Pages, including the performance of each status update.
ContentAide | How does it work?
ContentAide is an analysis tool that will monitor, qualify and deliver relevant data about your competitions’ site. According to TechCrunch.com, The program works when you tell it what Facebook Pages you’d like to keep an eye on, and the site will automatically generate a daily report on how that Page is performing. This isn’t just a Page’s overall ‘Like’ count either — it will also send you each individual status update and photo posted, along with how many Likes and Comments they received. You can receive reports for your own Pages and for competitors’ Pages as well.
Cody Barbierri, the creator of ContentAide, says that it uses an algorithm to figure out the relative success of each status update — if your page has hundreds of thousands of fans, then obviously it’s much easier to get 50 ‘Likes’ on a post than if you only had 1,000 fans, and the reports take this into account. Down the line, Barbierri hopes to add some deeper analysis, like automatic reports on what types of updates have been most effective. http://techcrunch.com/2011/04/18/contentaide-get-daily-reports-about-your-rivals-facebook-page/
ContentAide | How much does it cost?

If you visit the company’s website, they have a15 day free trial that gives you an opportunity to try it out before making a final purchasing decision. To view a sample of their report, click here.
