What is Twellow?
When using Twitter for business, it can be hard to get found as well as finding others. This is why Twellow, the ‘yellow pages’ for Twitter, is such a valuable tool for business owners seeking to implement a social media marketing plan. Twellow allows you to create your Twellow profile, add categories, add links, and create your bio. Whether you use your Twitter account for personal or business use, Twellow is a must, to find and be found.
What is Twellow | Benefits
Twellow is fairly simple to set up and implement. Twellow is not a part of Twitter, rather, it takes all of the public information, such as your Tweets, and uses this information to help categorize your account. In addition, you are allowed to add yourself to a maximum of 10 categories, which gives you thousands of possibilities and will really enable you to narrow down your target market(s). Being sought out by category is a unique benefit of Twellow and will allow you to be found.
The second benefit is being able to join the Twellowhood. The Twellowhood allows you to connect with some of the most influential and affluential members of Twitter in your city.
The final unique benefit of Twellow is that your bio can include up to 2,000 characters. This is a great opportunity to promote yourself as well as your business and a welcome reprieve from the 140 character cage we’re used to with Twitter.
What is Twellow | How to Set up
This brief video below goes over some of the benefits of Twellow as well as how to set up an account:
Twellow is a great way to identify and connect with other leaders in your chosen niche. More importantly by joining groups and categories that are associated with other brands you can allow others to get in touch with you.
First, i will like to appreciate our social media icon, great woman with multifacet skills who mentioned twellow during her interview on how to make your business visible. I mean social media angel, Mari Smith. Twellow makes it easier for you to carefully select those to follow on twitter and this article is a must read by you! Great work by social media black box!
Okay so I understand the yellow pages of Twitter concept but I am struggling with adding yet another profile to another twitter spin off or app.
Can you (or anyone else) advise if by joining Twellow this will have any negative effect on my Twitter accounts – for example – notifications asking followers to also join Twellow, approvals in yet another place, ads inserted or any other downside.
Once again thanks for the simplicity of the advice here. It makes it useful for non technical users like me.
